Documentary Mid-term bro!

The last week of class we have been watching interesting documentaries. At first when I thought it would be very fun and interesting but some of the documentaries we watched kind of.....upset me! Wait, I enjoyed 2 out of the 3 documentaries we watched were interesting! Some of them made me laugh, feel grossed out, and confused. But overall I feel like this documentary week in class was very beneficial and i enjoyed it!

The first documentary of Alex Jones was very boring and I couldn't get a grasp of the context of what was going on, all the politcal concepts and words that were thrown into that documentary was very hard to pay attention to and follow. But i picked up on how the government is basically already under Marshall Law, and how some of the government laws in time and need can take over the railroads, food, gas etc. Also i picked up how they said the banks picked up money for the bailout because they were using money. That was pretty much all I ended up learning about that one.

The next Documentary that I was interested with was the cartoon doc. The reasons for this is because it was very funny to watch and it kind of helped me realize what was going on in with our money and the federal banks. It's funny because I  never knew that our government was so shitty and messed up. They basically steal all of our money and try to cover up for it. One thing that stucked with me from that was loan money aint free money! People who have alot of loans are gonna be in alot of trouble after they graduate because the government will be coming for that money as soon as they graduate, plus intersest! That sucks for people with 20 and 30 thousand dollars in debt. It gets real when you graduate!

The last documentary was Food inc, that was a very interesting documentary. The way our food is being ran in the world is beyond sickning! I feel like the people who runs these facilities and farms should be more careful on the way they carry these animals and raise them up. I know we need these animals to survive and eat but they way they go about it isn't right at all. I even watched some more of the movie and it sadened me to see how all the food got recalled back and it potentially killed a 4 year old child because they found E-Coli in the meat he had ate. But overall the Food inc doc was my favorite, i just feel like the companies and farms should do a better job with the handling of our meat's and other food products!

Overall documentaries are very helpful and beneficial to ones life. I feel documentaries break down alot of stuff that isn't told in the media and helps you experience first hand weather its's a doc about people, places, or things. I have benefited from this topic this past week in class, it opened my eyes up to the world a little more. Anywho get into more documentaries and you will learn alot of wisdom and knowledge!

"Shattered Glass"

 Dog Hunting

A Minneapolis woman who placed a ad for her Chihuahua in the papers. She received an unexpected response from a would-be purchaser, who allegedly pulled a gun and demanded the dog, saying she needed the Chihuahua to be her lover.

The Kings Langley woman, 26, contacted dog owner Ashleigh Johnson, 24, at 11am in response to an advertisement in the Startribune.
The woman made an appointment to buy the eight-week-old puppy, the last of a litter of 20. When she arrived to the house she came out  of her vehicle drunk and confused.  A man waited outside in a car with an obscured number plate that said "BALLS".
Ashleigh Johnson with her dog Diego.Minneapolis Police said the woman was seated in the owners lounge room holding the puppy. She started to have a lot of fun with the dog and she named him on the spot. "Mr. Wiggles" she called him. When the owner turned her back, the Langley woman pulled a shotgun out of her backpack and said "I'm Leaving with this dog for free or ill shoot"! The initial cost advertised was 1,500 for the dog but Ms.Langley did not want to abide by that cost.
"She said she didn't want anyone to get hurt, but if she had to shoot to get out she would so don't tempt her"

Ms Johnson's former Army General father Graham, 59, was sitting next to the woman and started to attack Ms.Langley so they can restrain the gun away. The gun slid across the floor and the dog jumped out of her arms and bit her on the foot. Ms. Langley yelled and started to cry, then she tried to escape. Little did she know there was five off duty officers outside that heard was going on. As Ms.Langley headed for the door the cop tackled her and did the A-town stomp on her forehead.

Having all this going on they managed to get her under control and the cops arrested her and she was immediately took to the Hennepin County Jail. When she was in jail the officers asked "why did she do this?", her reply was so she can cook the dog up and have it as a sacrifice to her lord Lil B the BASEDGOD.

She was charged with robbery while armed, she also had crack cocaine in her bag and marijuana  so she was charged  possession of a drugs and a  prohibited weapon. She will appear in Parramatta Local Court on October 15. This is what she looked like after they beat her! ------>

Oldest Media Recap paper!

Throughout the few weeks we been talking about media and the oldest forms of media. Its been a very interesting topic and made me open my eyes up to what media really is and where it came from.  From my view of media i only thought that media came from TV screens, internet, and radios. All of those are forms of media, but media comes from everything around us, it also comes in all forms.

This is how i feel media was formed in my opinion! From our discussions in class and projects i came to believe the first signs of media came from GOD! Speech is the first forms of media because in Genesis Adam was taught speech by God by naming all of the animals (Genesis 2:19 to 2:20) than in (Genesis 3:1) there was a Serpent who spoke these words "is it really true that God Said, "you must not eat from any tree of the orchard". That's speech and that was one of the earliest forms of media. From Speech we have everything, that’s how we know who we are our history, and myths and legends are created from speech. Speech also has differentiated mankind, where there are different languages that we have in the world.
Then pictures came in such as Pictograms and hieroglyphs. They were used in Egypt to tell story's and symbols of ranking. After that Alphabets or Letters appeared in the world. That's when writing became popular in the world, people sent messages through each other and now that i think about it that’s how we got texting. The alphabet has many forms, from Chinese, Greek, and English alphabet. All have differently symbols but at the end of the day mean the same thing just a different translation.

Then came the printing press which was a great invention that we use till this day now. Printing press came and helped people get out spoken words, literature, and all other forms of communication but just n paper. “Printing press was the turning point in media"  (from one of our groups in class). The printing press helped thousands of people get hip with some form of media. Homing pigeons were the first signs of mail they are like twitter; they sent small messages back in forth thousands of miles from each other. Then came modern day mail which we use today which the world thrives off of because there are millions of packages and mail being delivered every second of the day. This form of media is probably the top forms of social communication in the world.
Then the telephone which was made in 1896. The telephone was a break through in media development because it made it very easier to communicate with people across the world through speech instead of writing.  The telephone also was a breeder of the morse code. After that the world evolved into a crazy media machine. We now have TV's, Computers, and all sorts or gadgets that we call media.

The difference from the old media to now is its much better! Old media was basic and simple, but now the way we communicate with each other is fast and on command. We now have Text message from our cellular devices, computers with email, and music on iPods. All of this media is way advanced than what was used back in the day. Media has been through a series of changes and I feel we are all should be very greatful for it today.
